This album is pure perfection with regards to black metal, as well as a great exemple authentic Québécois melodics. Atmospherics? Got it. Blast beats? Have them. Some punkish vibes? Mais bien sûr ! Not as an overlay of the three, but shifting back and forth so effortlessly, my jaw literally dropped a few times during the first listen. This masterful blend of everything BM is here accompanied by on-ne-peut-plus québécois melodies with the patent blend of Nordic angst with French melancholy.

I enjoyed Candelabrum's first couple tapes but this one caught me off guard. The songwriting is significantly more defined and sublime while retaining the same spectral signature. Very nicely done.
